
Dr.
Tim Amann
Dr. Amann specializes in sports medicine and treats all sports related
injuries. While his expertise is in arthroscopy, repair and reconstruction
of the shoulder, elbow, hip, knee and ankle, he continues to practice
general orthopaedics as well. He is currently the team physician
for Chestnut Hill College and Methacton High School.
Dr. Amann grew up in Monmouth County, NJ and earned his Bachelor's
degree in biology at Rutgers College in New Brunswick, NJ. He then
received his Master's degree in biomedical sciences from Rutgers
University before attending medical school at the Philadelphia College
of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Amann remained at PCOM for his orthopaedics
residency training. He then went to the world renowned American Sports
Medicine Institute in Birmingham, AL where he completed his fellowship
training in orthopaedic sports medicine.
Dr. Amann joined the Center for Advanced Orthopaedics, PC, in 2008.
He has a passion for working with athletes and teams. He is a member
of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, the American
Sports Medicine Institute Fellowship Society, the American Academy
of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopaedics.
He is an avid swimmer, golfer and skier and particularly enjoys these
activities with his wife and two children. |
