Colon, Rectal And General Surgery
Dr. Frost is the only Board Certified Colon and Rectal surgeon at Montgomery
Hospital and is a Fellow of the American Society of Colon and Rectal
Surgeons. He is also Board certified in General surgery and has been
practicing general surgery and colon and rectal surgery in this area
since 1982. In the scope of his practice, he evaluates and treats a
wide spectrum of colon and rectal problems including hemorrhoids, fissures,
colon polyps, diverticulitis, inflammatory bowel disease, and colon
cancer. He performs over 1200 colonoscopies per year as well as colon
resections and laparoscopic operations. He also performs hernia repairs
and laparoscopic cholecystectomy.
After graduating from Franklin and Marshall College with departmental
honors in biology, Dr. Frost attended Hahnemann Medical College where
he graduated with academic distinction in surgery. His general surgery
training began at the Monmouth Medical Center and was completed at
the prestigious Cleveland Clinic where he served as a Chief Resident
in both his fourth and fifth years. He was then selected as a Special
Fellow in Colon and Rectal Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic.
Dr. Frost is a Fellow of the American Society of Colon and Rectal
Surgeons and of the Pennsylvania Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons,
which
he has served as Treasurer and President.
In addition, Dr. Frost is a member of the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation
of America, the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons, the American
Medical Society, the Pennsylvania Medical Society, the Pennsylvania
Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons, and the American Society of
Colon and Rectal Surgeons.
